Accreditation Standards

 The Boise State University Standard One report articulates the mission statement, and the core themes that are the essential elements of the mission . The report includes an examination of the institutions purpose, characteristics, and expectations, and the institutional definition of  mission fulfillment.

Under the new standards for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, Boise State University has the following timeline for the remaining accreditation standards:

Standard 2 requires the documentation of the adequacy of the institutions resources and capacity, governance and decision-making structures that promotes the effective management and operation of the institution.  Standard 2 includes an update to Standard 1.  Due September 2014
Standard 3 is the appraisal of the institution’s potential to fulfill the Mission, and  Standard 4 is the planning and implementation involved in achieving and assessing the desired outcomes of programs and services.  
Standard 5 is an evaluation of the results of the institution’s efforts to fulfill the Mission and assess its ability to monitor its environment, adapt, and sustain itself as a viable institution.  This includes an update to Standards 1-4.  Due Fall 2018
