Commencement is only a few days away! Commencement is an exciting and busy day. In order to fully enjoy the day, we suggest planning ahead. Here is some helpful information for you and your guests. There is not an all student rehearsal for the ceremony. Instructions will be given the morning of commencement.
Saturday, December 16, 2017:
Travel and Parking – Due to potential inclement weather, attendees are encouraged to allow for extra travel time.
Like most events held in the Arena, parking lots other than the Stadium will need to be used. Shuttles will be available from the Lincoln Garage (located on the corner of Lincoln and University Dr). All reserved and metered parking lots will be free all day. Those who cannot walk a distance may be dropped off at the front of the Arena. Please see Parkingfor a parking map.

Bronco Gym doors open for pre-ceremony name card pick-up. Please go to the table that corresponds to the first letter of your last name to pick up your cards. Please check your card for accuracy. This is how your name will be printed on your diploma! Graduates must pick up name cards no later than 9:00 a.m. Complimentary beverages will be served in the Bronco Gym.
Grad Images will be taking photos of graduates with their families and the Alumni Association will have a table for last minute needs like bobby pins, static spray and lint rollers to make sure you look great in your Boise State regalia!
Taco Bell Arena doors open. Elevators are available in lobbies 1 and 2 and staff will be available to assist with seating if needed. Seating is first-come, first-seated basis. Walk-through magnetometers will be used to screen all visitors to the Taco Bell Arena.
Please note, air horns, cowbells or noisemakers of any type are prohibited. Concessions will be available.
Graduates must report to Auxiliary Gym for line-up and instructions. Coat racks will be available and will be monitored during the ceremony. However, please do not leave valuables in the gym or your coat.
Please do not bring bags into the gym or onto the Arena floor.
Commencement begins! The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
A reception for graduates and their families will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Jordan Ballroom, Student Union Building. Each college and school will have a designated area where graduates can meet with family and friends after the ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.
