University Security

    Contact Human Resources at 426-1616. This mass notification system automatically sends emergency messages to Boise State e-mail addresses and telephone numbers during an urgent situation that has the potential to affect your health and safety. Go to Broncoweb to Opt-In.
    Public Safety

    Faculty Ombuds

    The faculty ombuds is a neutral, informal source of assistance that is intended to complement and not supplant Boise State policies and procedures. The Office provides an extra option for you to use in complete confidence. It is intended to help you find and access–not to replace–formal resources, offices, policies and procedures as you need them.

    Programs increase awareness of and commitment to prevent harassment and promote diversity, equity, and affirmative action in the workplace. Find educational programs, investigations and resolution of complaints, and oversight activities. Harassment Prevention Training is a mandatory requirement for all new employees.

    Find assistance for individual employees and departments with individual and interpersonal problems in the workplace, developing or interpreting rules and policies, and formulating and taking appropriate corrective actions.
    BSU Mediation Program
    Contact Human Resource Services, Alternate Dispute Resolution Program Manager, at 426-1616.
    The program provides a voluntary, informal and confidential method for addressing employee-related disputes. This service is available to all Boise State employees at no charge. This is a cooperative partnership with Boise State’s Conflict Management Program and BSU Human Resource Services.
    Faculty Grievance Procedure
    As a faculty member, you have recourse to the faculty grievance process to address violations, misapplications, and misinterpretations of existing laws, policies, procedures and practices. Contact the Faculty Grievance Committee.
    Campus Climate
    This initiative, including a task force and comprehensive study, is in place to ensure that the climate on campus is one of inclusiveness, civility, respect, and appreciation for the differences of others.
