Adjunct Faculty FAQ Guide
This resource provides a range of information for adjunct faculty, such as getting hired, compensation, preparing to teach, classroom issues, development opportunities. Department-specific information can be found on departmental websites.
Benefits information for faculty

Direct deposit
All employees are required to receive paychecks via direct deposit. Please sign up for this feature on Bronco Web using the following instructions.
Payroll services
Payroll is responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll. If you have questions, contact Susan Eaton at 426-3192. Here are links to all payroll forms.
Time reporting–classified, student, temp employees
To report time for classified, student and temporary employees. Time is entered on Broncoweb. See Employee Learning and Development Web Site for training scheduled. There is also a PowerPoint presentation available for Time and Labor training. .
Time reporting–faculty
Most full time faculty are on exception time reporting. Sick leave or vacation leave during the contract period must be reported using the Leave Report Form.
W-2 statements
Information about electronically accessing your W-2 statement, including the processing schedule for availability.

Travel and Reimbursement

Local vicinity travel expense voucher
If you are traveling in the near vicinity, complete the T80 form for reimbursement for travel in the near vicinity.
P-Card program
Answers to questions involving use of P-Cards.
Reserve Motor Pool vehicles
The Motor Pool has sedans, Prius Hybrids, minivans and 11-12 person vans that are available for Boise State business use. To reserve a motor pool vehicle, 1) make an on-line reservation, 2) complete the authorization form and 3) review the vehicle rental policies.
Travel information

Travel policy and guidelines
Policy on travel guidelines for all travel that involves university reimbursement or liability. (Policy 6180 Ver. 10/2007) Travel requires pre-approval Using the Travel Request and Authorization (T590 form) available from Printing and Graphics. This must be approved by your business unit/area before any travel expense may be incurred.

    Parking permits
    Purchase your Boise State Campus Parking permit on-line or in the office in the Lincoln Parking Structure. Here is the campus parking map. There are various lower cost options posted in the FAQ section of this handbook for part time instructors who teach off-hours. Contact parking at 208-426-PARK (7275).
    Transportation alternatives
    In addition to the free ValleyRide bus services, there are a number of other options such as carpooling, vans and shuttles.

    BroncoWeb Documentation
    A comprehensive set of BroncoWeb documentation for faculty, students and staff users. A printable guide is also available.
    Help Desk
    Call 426-HELP (426-4357) or email problems to helpdesk@boisestate.edu. The Office of Information Technology Help Desk is where Boise State University faculty can get help for operational, software, and hardware questions and issues.
    Help Desk Self-Service
    Log in to this self-service site. There is a knowledge base to answer submitted questions and a form to create help requests. You may also track the resolution of all of your help requests.
    Requests for Computer Account
    All University computer accounts require an Account Request Form printed and signed by the requestor and supervisor, and delivered to the OIT Help Desk.
    Request Employee Directory changes
    Use this on-line form to submit changes to your contact, location, phone, email, etc. information in order to update the employee directory.
    Training for Campus Information Systems
    Includes training workshops for Peoplesoft modules—Student System, Finance, Budget.

    Current contact information for all department chairs.

    Current contact information for each division of the university headed by a vice president, with contact information for the top staff/managers.
    Department Chair resources
    Provides Department Chairs with timely information not available in other online or print university publications, such as position guidelines, FAQs, calendar of chair events, special links, etc. One excellent set of short practical articles is the ACE Online Resource Center.
    Faculty and staff links
    Provides links to Executive Offices, Administrative Forms and Functions, Documents, and University Resources and Services, Calendars and Events, etc.
    Mail service at Boise State
    Includes information on use of US Postal Service, Fed Ex and DHL for packages, mail standards and guidelines, and a useful listing of Mail Stop Codes by department. Questions, call 426-1693. Outbound mail collected during the day is processed for delivery to the U.S. Post Office at 4:15 pm.
